Following trade school, Meg worked in two dress shops over the course of 7 years. She worked directly with customers on their clothing needs based on images and catalogues before retrieving the clients’ measurements. Finally, she opened her own dress shop in Cebu City, specializing in making professional and school uniforms with three seamstresses working under her. After Meg vacated to the United States in 1991 where she joined her husband, Robert, in Illinois. She became a mother and raised three children, Raquel, Robby, and Shirley. Meg continued her passion for clothing in her own home for many years along with various jobs. Meg then established her own alteration shop in Breese, Illinois in 2007, and has built long-lasting relationships with several of her clientele. In October 2020, with the help of Tony Long from FashionBar LLC in Chicago, Meg was able to establish her designer name brand MEGMANSKI. By April of 2021 she showed her first 20 piece collection in Chicago at Water Tower Place for Chicago Fashion Week. Meg continued to show additional collections in Milan, Opening collection September 2021 and Paris, October 2021 for both fashion weeks. She then closed out October 2021 with her 4th collection a second time in Chicago. Meg will headline Chicago Fashion Week April 2022 for her Ready-to-wear clothing line.

Meg has always been influenced by dressmaking and fashion, working in alterations and dress shops for over 40 years. She also has a claimed gift to measure someone’s size by a simple glance at the person.
